It is time that Men in South Africa means business in taking a stand against Gender Based Violence. Enough is Enough. It must stop now! No Women No Cry!!!

I take this pledge whole heartedly.

I say no to GBV and femicide, as I man I stand against the two scourge this two enemies of our country.

I Pledge to be the difference, to be the change. to be a role model for my peers and generations after me. No to abuse, no to gender-based Violence. I pledge to support the victims and assist them get justice. To change the attitude of those who think the abuse is right.

I pledge to make my community safe and secure against GBV and femicide.

I Pledge , and will be actively involved in redicating the pandemic through my NGO SHE STOOD. By fighting for fairness,teaching kids in schools what it actually means to infringe on one's rights and helping in shaping behavior in our society. I am a proactive and responsible citizen.

Gender-based violence is a grave violation that affects individuals of all genders but disproportionately targets women and children. The physical, sexual, emotional, and economic abuse that women face undermines their rights and well-being. Combating gender-based violence requires societal intervention through awareness, legislation, and support systems. Only by working together can we strive towards a world where everyone is free from gender-based violence. I pledge to teach my kids to be humble, respect and love all women equally and refrain from violence.

I pledge all South African men to participate in the quest to end GBV through voicing out their views and concerns without resorting to physical violence. Men should lead by example and embrace differences in marriage set ups, enforcing good communication and empathy skills can help you learn to see each other’s world views and learn cooperative techniques when conflict arises.

As a father of 2 girls, I pledge and join the call to model the way and show my girls and any other women how to be respected, appreciated, loved, cared for and understood without fear. Gender-based Violence is pure evil and evil is not welcomed in our beautiful land, South Africa.

Gender-based violence has no place in a forward-thinking society and a democracy whose aim is to empower all and ensure the basic human rights to life and dignity. It is impossible to progress as long as women are oppressed by abusive men in society. Education and instilling respect for women is a key weapon we can use to end the war of GBVF on our nation.

This commitment reflects personal and constitutional values that guide my behaviour and demand that I engage with men who disrespect and abuse women, but that I also report instances of abuse - crime, in other words - to authorities.
