All perpetrators must get a life sentence or the death penalty. Our children, sisters, mothers and grandmothers must not be used and abused. They deserved to be treated with love and dignity. They are people and deserve love and compassion.

I call on all South African men to make this pledge to be part of the effort to end gender-based violence. As individuals and as members of families and communities, we need to change our attitudes and behaviour. We need to take responsibility for our actions. As men, we must pledge to never raise a hand against a woman, to treat women as equals, to respect their rights and to treat them with dignity. If we are to end violence against women and children, we must work together as a society. The solution starts with us.

Women they are our life time partners, families and friends in communities and our country's. They need to be respected and appreciated. They have equal rights as gender and their dignity must be respected . We need to take resolution and responsibility to protect them . We must empower each other by sharing ideas at our mens forum and respective organisation . We must be part of awareness and teach our young boys how to treat their classmates at school and girlfriends in general . As man we must lead by example!!
